Could hypnotherapy help you?

How does Hypnotherapy work?

Using deep relaxation techniques, the client will be guided through the communication with their subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the part of the brain that is responsible for emotions, behaviours and general body functions, so suggestions by the hypnotherapist can create the desired changes quickly and effectively.

What is it like to have hypnotherapy?

As it is a naturally occurring altered state of consciousness, it is safe and deeply relaxing. Your focus will be on yourself, you will always be in control of your mind and your actions. Clients normally awaken feeling relaxed, refreshed and empowered by the experience.

Will the client remain in control?

Yes. Contrary to popular misconception, the hypnotherapist does not have any ‘control’ over the client. You will be aware of what is happening and will not say or do anything you do not wish to. During hypnotherapy you can become fully awake and alert at any time you choose too.

Is it safe?

Hypnotherapy is safe for most people including pregnant women. However it is not a suitable treatment for people with epilepsy or anyone diagnosed with psychotic illnesses. I strongly recommend you contact a register medical practitioner when seeking assistance for relief of physical symptoms.

Can anyone be hypnotised?

As it is a naturally occurring altered state of consciousness, almost anyone can be hypnotised, although some people will enter hypnosis easier than others, depending on their willingness to follow the instructions.

Will hypnotherapy work for me?

By being completely honest with yourself and following the simple instructions changes can be made quickly and effectively. These are often backed up by making simple changes to your everyday life. This is a personal centred approach so these changes are what you desire to become the person you wish to be.

Do you offer an after care service?

Once you have completed your sessions if you decide you would like an extra session for the same issue, it will be available to you for a reduced rate.

Can you guarantee hypnotherapy?

A hypnotherapist can not control your mind or your life. The client remains in control at all times. As such it is impossible to guarantee anything and it would be unprofessional to do so. After all you are a complex individual, not a toaster!

However, I can promise I will use all my skills and experience to do everything I can to help you be the person you wish to be.

How long will it take?

A session lasts about 1 hour. The first session includes a free 30 minute consultation. Generally you will require between 2 and 8 sessions depending on you issue.
